Rain on the way!?
September 10, 2008
It’s been exceedingly dry in most of the area. The below note from Jim Noel (NOAA) is well received. I received the email 9/10/08.
Wanted to pass on to you that confidence is now rather high on a moderate to heavy rainfall event late this week into early next week. The details are still uncertain about Ike’s track, but the combination of moisture from Lowell from the eastern Pacific and moisture from Ike streaming north to interact with a front will mean a decent rain event for most of Ohio late this week into early next week. Widespread 1-2 inch rains with some heavier rainfall is expected. It will not rain all this time, but we should get some waves of rainfall over the next week.
