Control of Wheat Aphids

John Obermeyer and Larry Bledsoe, Purdue University, write excellent articles for Purdue’s Pest and Crop Newsletter.  In a recent article, they discuss the appearance of aphids in wheat and the possibility of these aphids transmitting Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus.  Ron Hammond, Ohio State University, also has an outstanding article on this topic.  The Purdue and OSU researchers are concurrent in their approach to managing aphids in wheat.  Listen to my condensed podcast on wheat aphids here:
