On March 4, 2009, a state approved recertification training will be held beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Delphos Jefferson High School.  This training program will recertify private pesticide license holders in Ohio.  The training is targeted to those license holders whose license expires in 2009, but any private pesticide license holder may attend.

Recertification will be offered in the following categories: Core, Grain and Cereal Crops (1), Forages (2), Noncropland (9), Stored Grain (10).  Additional training will be offered immediately following the regular session in the following categories: Livestock (8) and Seed Treatment (12).  Registration is not required.  A $15 fee will be collected at the door to cover the training.  Questions may be directed to the Van Wert County Extension Office at 419-238-1214.  Other recertification sessions offered in Ohio may be located here: http://pested.osu.edu/privaterecert.htm

This training does not prepare individuals to take the exam to receive a private pesticide license. If you are interested in obtaining a private pesticide license, please visit http://pested.osu.edu/privatelicense.html
